Golden Doors... in pursuit of Him

The pursuit of Him... on golden doors!

In the bill of rights, the founders started off with a hoot, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” 

John 10: 1 KJV “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”

The plaque on the Statue of Liberty, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…” The whole poem, The New Colossus, was written by Emma Lazarus in 1883, where she declared this construction to liberty was the Mother of Exile and her flame would lead the trodden to the golden doors of Freedom. The same freedom that was written in a masterful document 107 years prior, the Declaration of Independence. It was this line, Give me your..., in the poem that gained traction. A woman whose last name was a story in the gospel of John that was given a new life, she was literally promising “new life” to all who found the “golden doors.” And for 143 years, America has honored those words.

John 10: 10a KJV “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…”

We now face a new challenge, the people heard the call and many came to put on the mantle of America and America has excelled with them. From revivals, wars, and industrial revolutions, the country has been strengthened by those who came in through the golden gates. But then… But then there were those who came not in by those golden doors, they came in like a thief in the night, to seek, to kill, and to destroy for they did not have love of America… only love of self, themselves.

This dichotomy has set up a huge challenge of good vs. evil, light vs dark, sheep vs wolves and Jesus (God) vs Lucifer (devil). But make no mistake there is no comparison when it comes to the LORD vs the false idols and lower “lords”. GOD is… they are not. The battle is the LORD’s if we let Him. It doesn’t mean we stand around with our fingers in our noses, it means we move when He moves, stand, pray, speak and seek His Face.

Psalm 27: 8 KJV “When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.”

Learning of the times we are in is an imperative for each Christian. We are in a time where there is a major churning. The caldron of freedom has been stirred and it is swirling, how it settles will determine the outcome for the future generations. We have an opportunity. God is giving America and the world a chance for a new heart, a new future, a new glory!

John 10: 10b KJV “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Jesus stated, “I am come that they might have life.. and it’ll be abundant.” To those who came through the golden doors, there is a blessing of prosperity or abundance in the land. But… at the same time the Lord warned of those who did not come in through His gates. They are the thieves and robbers coming to take whatever they can and then call their friends to do the same. 

Ezekiel 36: 26 KJV “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you…”

This is where we need the Hand of Providence once again. The hearts of many have hardened and grown cold. There needs to be a circumcision of heart or the spirit of man, with America and other nations of the world. We need resuscitation in a major way. We need revival. We are here and the LORD is looking for a people who will call out to Him and a people who will seek Him and change their ways as President Trump read in II Chronicles 7:14. If My people who are called by My Name…

Ezekiel 48: 35b KJV “And the name of the city from that day shall be: The Lord Is There.”

And the Name of that city/nation will be Yahweh Shammah, The LORD is There. God wants to be known in all of His nations, not just America, not just Israel… but Canada, Mexico, Italy, Iran, Russia, China, Vietnam, Australia, Japan, Korea, Britain, Ukraine, Congo, Mali, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Cuba, and so much more. These are the days we have longed for… this is the time that the Azusa revival spoke of. We have a duty. Let’s complete it.

As the Constitution says, “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty for ourselves and our Posterity… do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
