Time spent. Decisions made. Words exchanged. Fulfillment is next.

This morning in my time with the Lord, I continued listening to the words of Jeremiah for a little while. These verses of scripture floated around and lingered in my mind as they were digested by my spirit. Consuming God’s Word is key to victory in life. It is a part of His communion. We have the physical communion that we share when we break His bread and drink from His cup, but then we have the spiritual communion where we digest His Word and drink of His Spirit.

They go hand in hand and we become a well-balanced Christian ready to bring heaven to earth. It is the basics of each Christian to seek the Father’s will and draw it to the earth. Jesus said it this way, “Thy will be done in earth as in heaven.” Yes, the “Our Father”.

“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” (Matthew 6: 9-13 KJV)

Manna is what he gave the Israelites of old. His Body and Blood is what He gave 2000 years ago for us. When you and I received Him or were received into Him, we became knitted together. It is one of the reasons why we share in the baptism of water and His Spirit. We become intertwined, knitted. Just like in the rearing years of king David, he and Jonathan were knit together in their souls, see I Samuel 18. And the apostle Paul told the church in Galatia, “but now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God (Galatians 4:9 KJV)…”, we become knitted together.

And what God has joined together let no man tear it asunder as Matthew 19 relayed when two become one. This way their hearts are knitted together in love (Colossians 2), and this is a good thing. Love is the tie that binds us together. Whether husband and wife, brothers and sisters, best of friends, or fellow countrymen bound together as one, unified (Judges 20), we all stand together under the banner of fellowship in His Love (Song of Solomon 2). Knowing that a three stranded cord of God and each other braided and bound together in love is not easily defeated (Ecclesiastes 4).

But when the folds of love are struck, and cords are torn and disheveled, know that it is the Lord who restores the marriage, restores the soul ties, restores the unity of brotherhood and sisterhood, and restores a country to it’s people and God. “He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147: 3 KJV).” It is God who is the repairer of the breach found in man.

God is doing something in these days… something old and something new and fresh. He is awakening a remnant for a greater outpouring and this remnant will be unlike anything previous. It can lead, run and fly all the way until His second coming. “Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite (Psalm 147: 4 KJV).”

Judges 20: 11 KJV “So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city, knit together as one man.”

Colossians 2: 2 KJV “that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love…”

I Samuel 18: 1 KJV “And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.”

Matthew 19: 6 KJV “Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

Godspeed, The Journeyman

Ps. And one more thing… in my time of communion this morning I saw the heart of God, the heart of man, my heart, your heart, being knitted back together. Claim this healing and may it bring better, brighter and fuller days!
